JUNE

The plumbagos that we planted last fall are showing
off their first blossoms.

This is the squash plant known locally as slaoui. The fruit resembles an overgrown courgette, and it is a favorite in tajines.

We bought these two pots at Souk Tlet and will be turning             them into a cooler for our drinking water.

Just a couple of days after we constructed our palm frond and
bamboo shade fence around the courtyard zeitoun, a strong
wind from the east took it down. A couple of the broomstick posts were snapped off at ground level.

Leucaena seedlings are popping up all over the place. This is along the south property wall that only gets about an hour of sun a day. I am interested to see if they grow and thrive with such limited sunlight.

We are enjoying the onion flower while we are waiting                        for the seeds to be produced.
